heat PUMPS
Heat pumps are a type of HVAC system that can provide both heating and cooling to your home. They work by moving heat from one place to another, rather than generating heat like a furnace or air conditioner.
In the winter, heat pumps extract heat from the outdoor air and transfer it indoors to heat your home. In the summer, they extract heat from your indoor air and transfer it outdoors to cool your home. This makes them a very energy-efficient option, as they use electricity to move heat rather than generating it, which can help save you money on your heating and cooling bills.
There are two main types of heat pumps: air-source heat pumps and ground-source heat pumps. Air-source heat pumps are the most common type and use the outdoor air as their heat source or heat sink. Ground-source heat pumps, also known as geothermal heat pumps, use the constant temperature of the earth as their heat source or heat sink.

How Does A Heat Pump Work?
Conventional heating methods like a furnace or boiler uses fossile fuel, heat pumps use electricity to keep your home warm. Instead of heating air in the house, heat pumps collect heat from outside and transfer it to your living space.
Just like a central air conditioner, Heat pumps is made up of 2 units. An outdoor unit and an indoor coil unit that disperses air around your home. Coolant is circulated between these 2 units as the heat is transferred into and out of your home.
Can A Heat Pump Cool My Home?
Yes! as we explained above, heat pumps transfers heat from one place to another which means it can remove heat from inside of your house and disperse it outside.
All heat pumps can act as air conditioners. When heating, a heat pump takes outside heat and disperses it in your home. When cooling, heat is transferred from your home to the outdoors. Just like an AC !
